We are C-FAM

Mission: To provide creative and educational filmmaking experiences for youth in Southern Wisconsin by pairing them with film professionals to bring stories to the screen.

Vision: C-FAM builds community by making films not only in Madison, but in the rural areas that make up Southern Wisconsin, creating a network of young Wisconsin filmmakers and storytellers. We value all stories and perspectives that aide in the understanding of the collective experience.

Values: C-FAM feels everyone has a story worth telling and a voice to share. We are committed to actively seeking out stories less told and serving communities less heard.

Leadership

Ben Fritz

Producer/ Artistic Director

Growing up in Monona, Ben started writing scripts and producing films with the neighborhood kids at age 11, funded by a paper route and small garage sales. But the film world alluded him with no opportunities in Wisconsin, and he knew Los Angeles was where he would end up, but to a kid from the Midwest, California looked like another world. Flash forward to today and Ben has amassed impressive credits in acting, directing, writing, and producing. He has produced for Academy Award-winning directors, written and directed for multi-Emmy winners, acted with Emmy and Academy Award winners, and won awards from festivals all over the world. His experience with world class filmmakers has given him a knack for creating compelling and relevant stories. He continues to work in the field professionally and has a production company with his partner in Los Angeles.

As an instructor, Ben has years of experience teaching yoga on the West Coast, and loves how the principles of acting mirror those of healing. He excels at reading people and guiding them through their inner world which has made him a very effective director. Expanding our awareness internally and externally and sharing with the world is what he loves most about this art form and is excited to share that passion.

Julia Rudnitzky

Producer/ Company Director

Born and raised in Europe, Julia enjoyed multicultural upbringing with strong emphasis on creative development which included dancing ballet, singing, and playing in theater. During her college years, she founded a professional band, performing on stage as the lead vocalist and recording many of her original creations.

Upon moving to Midwest, she has been teaching acting classes in a local community theater, singing in several cover bands, performing in theatrical shows and writing screenplays and fiction books.

Once she got involved with the CFAM family, her dream of creating visual experiences of significance and impact finally came true. She is excited about being a part of organization that helps children utilize their abilities to discover their voice in visual art.
